The model Sofia Jirau launched today, October 7, 2021, her new campaign "Sin Límites" (Without Limits) focused on raising awareness about the Down syndrome community. The launch of the campaign took place at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
The mission of the "Sin Límites" campaign is to demonstrate the ability of people with Down syndrome to achieve their goals. In addition, to make visible the challenges and difficulties of the Down syndrome community.
In the campaign, Jirau sends a message of empowerment to everyone about the ability to dream without limits.
Jirau is a Puerto Rican entrepreneur and professional model with Down syndrome who through her passions, modeling and fashion, shows the world that she has the potential to achieve all her goals. The young Puerto Rican reaffirms that "inside and out there are no limits".
"I am happy to be able to show the world that my friends with Down syndrome and I can achieve great things just like everyone else," said Jirau, who works as an Experience Ambassador at INprende.
Jirau also highlighted four current needs in her community, such as the lack of available universities and institutes for people with Down syndrome, the lack of employment opportunities, transportation, and the lack of a home for members of the community who have been orphaned or left without a guardian.
This campaign highlights the potential for young people like Jirau and her boyfriend Christopher Gonzalez, who also has Down syndrome, to fulfill their goals. They show the world that Down syndrome is not an obstacle to achieving their dreams. In addition, they encourage others to believe in themselves and to fight for their dreams.
